Hi! I'm
Taunya, president and owner of Band Network Worldwide. I'd like to take
a few minutes of your time and introduce my company and what we do. We're
recruiting new members as of now and we would like to reach as many music
fans as possible. We run a band promotion business for 250+ well known bands
worldwide. We try to help all the bands that come to us, although it can
get quite crazy (since we all work solo and from our homes) & we're
a bit focused on Glam/Sleaze/Trash/Gothic, we feel every musician deserves
credit for pursuing his/her dream of becoming big. That's what all bands
strive for, right? It's our job to get people attached to these bands,
a following flock if you will, during their climb to the top. Us and our
team members spread the band names far and wide. A reminder that everyone
associated with BNW works voluntarily,
no profit (for now...while we're
still small time) is made for anything we do. But, we
feel that the rewards we get are much greater than money could ever be.
We get to have close personal contact with all the band members, we see
the shows, we party with them, we get souveneirs,etc.. Anyway,
we run mainly off the internet so we email everything you need to get started
and you just print it out...we can't afford postage but if we can/have
the supplies (ink, paper, duplicates of "extras" the bands send
us) & money available-we'll send something snail mail, then the
only money asked for from you is a few bucks for extra postage so we can
send the stuff out to you. You, as a member of BNW,
also get the rewards from the bands, same as us. Now, that's something
worth working for, huh?? Now, you ask, what do I have to do to get in on
this great company??? Well, you
simply email us and request the lists we have available (more convenient)
and it will cost you nothing, or
you can send us $6 ($8 outside of US) for supplies and postage and we'll
fly you a starter kit that includes THE BNWW INTRO LETTER,
THE BNWW BAND LIST, THE BNWW CONTACT LIST,
AND ANY RECENT NEWSLETTERS, and a few of those "extras"
I mentioned IF AVAILABLE...like flyers,
stickers, pictures, and tapes/CD's. Your job is to copy the stuff
we send and pass it on to everyone you know (even
strangers on the street if you can!), call the radio stations
and record stores (say,"I wanna
hear this band so play 'em now or else!"), write the
metal/rock mags ("Give us some
info on this incredible band!"), buy the merchandise
(wear the tapes/cd's out playing them
and wear the gear while doing that!), go to the shows when
possible (wear your shirts and buttons
for support and give out flyers before and after the gigs!),
and last but not least, everyone's favorite...get to know the bands (write
to them and call the hotlines, most will reply!)!! The main
idea and task...SPREAD THE WORD!
SCREAM IT LOUD SO THE WHOLE WORLD CAN HEAR! Tell everyone
you know to write or call us so we can join 'em up ASAP! Once you're with
BNW, the possibilities are endless...
THE REST OF THE FAMILY
Real quick, let me introduce the rest of the staff here so you can get to know them as well:
Chris Tatay, working right now from his native Australia, runs his own record label, Recognition Records! RR just released it's own compilation CD called "Smells Like Punk Action". Also, a magazine, respectively titled Recognition Magazine is also one of Chris's latest projects. Chris is also the "brains" behind a lot of BNWW ideas and suggestions; like the idea of us doing a compilation CD later in the year. Chris was the first addition to the BNWW staff as a partner/executive so he will always hold a special place in my heart. Not only does BNWW keep him busy, but look for Chris on tour with some of the bands he works so closely with this year!
Traci Norton, hailing from Canada was the most recent addition to the BNWW staff and calls her project BNWW CANADIAN SYLE!. Traci works at a health food market and goes to school. At her college, she runs the radio show called POWER HOUR and she's always looking for new material to play for her 1000+ listeners daily! In her spare time Traci also runs the e-zine, Overdrive, formerly titled Mudkicker, which was dedicated to one of our favorite bands, Skid Row. Traci is a wonderful team member and goes entirely out of her way to make a suggestion/idea known and see that it's looked into. She's always busy working on new things to better BNWW and we don't know what we'd do without her. No doubt, this chick is a busy one-she's even got her sister being a secretary for her!! PS: thanks Tania!
Last, but not least, Steven Thomas....Steven came into the BNWW staff late last year and is mostly the "Business Man" when it comes to finances of the company and such. Steve is very much a music fan, as are us all, and is very versatile and open minded when it comes to different images and sounds. Steven is very laid back and efficient when it comes to responsibilities within the company. Not only is he a great person, but he's also my husband! Rock N Roll goes hand in hand forever, right?
